Brazilian waxing has become an interesting phenomena in the state of Utah. From our Southern border of Saint George all the way up through Salt Lake City and north to our border, women and men are discovering the benefits of waxing, especially the Brazilian-Bikini.
So who does this type of waxing?I would have to say that the Brazilian craze can’t be categorized into neat little groups. EVERYONE is brazilian waxing and maybe even you! You may be one of those people with the words Brazilian bikini wax floating around in your mind for several days, even weeks before deciding to really make the waxing commitment. It’s one of those rites of passage that tempt, tease, and yet scare the liver out of you. You may be one of those who come into a salon for your first waxing with your best friend or significant other, or just by yourself in case you chicken out!
Don’t fear. As the need grows more salons and estheticians are offering this invaluable service. Here are few interesting things to consider before booking your appointment.
It goes almost without saying that you really should research who and which salon will do this intimate waxing. But some additional research should include the amount of experience the waxer has, the type of license she holds (hopefully Esthetics), and her idea of what a Brazilian wax really is.
For most folks a Brazilian includes COMPLETE hair removal from front to back. Now, whether or not the girls from Brazil really did every single hair is a mystery to me. And it doesn’t matter. A Brazilian, as long as it includes the back crack, can be every hair or every hair BUT a small strip in the front– often referred to as a “landing strip” (Some pilot must have made that one up!) Anyway, one common complaint I’ve heard from “those who have waxed” is that the back crack is often avoided.
One more important word of advice…when researching your salon or esthetician please please please do not be fooled by anyone claiming that it won’t hurt. Seriously folks…what are we doing? We are ripping hair from your body. I’m not sure that anyone can qualify that as a pleasurable experience. At least not while it is happening to you. And no special type of wax is going to lessen the severity of the pull of little hairs from the follicle.
Now, that being said, the amount of pain that will be inflicted upon you is really up to the experience of the esthetican doing the service. While it does hurt, it will not kill you. Will it make you stronger? Well, I don’t know about that one but I do know that hundreds of folks are trying out Brazilian waxing every month and it isn’t a one time occurrence! The more you wax, the finer and thinner the hair growth. The more you wax, the less it hurts. The more you wax…the sexier you feel.Waxing…isn’t JUST about eyebrows anymore. Brazilian wax! Do you dare to try one?
